Boards & Commissions

Citizens have an opportunity to participate in the implementation of local policies by serving on an advisory board or commission. If you are a resident of the City of Corona and would like to volunteer to be a member of a City Advisory Board or Commission, please complete the Application for Public Service form. Listed below are the current Boards and Commissions of the City of Corona. All of these meetings are open to the public. We welcome your participation.

Library Board of Trustees

The Public Library shall be managed by a board of five library trustees, all of whom shall be residents of the City, not officers or employees, and all of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. Parks and Recreation Commission

The Commission is comprised of five members, all of whom shall be residents of the City and shall not hold any paid office or employment with the City. Members serve four-year terms. Each Council member appoints one member to serve concurrently with his/her term of office. Each member of the Commission shall receive fifty dollars for each regular monthly meeting attended, not to exceed fifty dollars per month. The Commission shall act in an advisory role to the City Council and make recommendations to the City Council concerning recreation programs, maintenance and operation of the public park system and the planting, care and removal of trees within the parkways. Planning Commission

The Commission is comprised of five members, all of whom shall be residents of the City and shall not hold any paid office or employment with the City. Members serve four-year terms. Each Council member appoints one member to serve concurrently with his/her term of office. Each member of the Commission shall receive fifty dollars for each regular meeting attended, not to exceed one hundred dollars per month. The Commission shall act in an advisory role to the City Council and make recommendations pursuant to California Government Code Section 65100. More Information...
