Trash and Recycling General Information

 The City of Corona's Solid Waste and Recycling Programs have been specificall y designed for all residents within the city. Resident participation assists the City in meeting state mandated recycling goals by reducing the amount of recycled products currently being disposed of at landfills.

Every year, Corona residents generate over 200,000 tons of trash and recyclables. Due to the residential recycling efforts, 58% of this is being recycled through residential curbside services, green waste programs and other recycling programs.

Waste Management of the Inland Empire is the City's franchise hauler for refuse, recycling and green waste materials. Corona residents are provided with three 96-gallon carts; one for regular trash, one for green waste, and one for commingled recyclables. All trash, green waste and recyclables are collected on the same service day once a week. This fully automated system allows for an aesthetically pleasing appearance on city streets.
